Well, I find I have a slightly less busy afternoon that I had thought, so I’m going to try to catch up on some of things I’ve been meaning to post, but haven’t managed to.
Year: 2005
Started Revisions
I started on my revisions today. I got 1,656 words. Not a bad start.
Off to See the Wizard
I’m off to Wizard World Boston to help out the guys from Turbo Comics. Be sure to stop by and pick up a copy of the The Secret Monkey #1! I’m pretty sure this will be the last printing of this issue, so get ’em while you can. I’ll be there today, and tomorrow afternoon.
I’m also pretty psyched that the gang from Mirage Studios is going to be there. I’ll try to avoid being a sad little fan boy, but it’ll be hard.
New Pages
Update: These pages have been replaced by the library page from Now Reading.
I never get the time to review everything I read. This is partly due to the fact that upon finishing a book I almost always start another right away, and by the time I go to write down my thoughts, they’re colored by what I’m reading now. I’ve added a couple of pages to the site listing what I’m reading right now, and what I’ve read recently (which I’ll be adding to when I have some time). I still hope to review stuff, but at least I’ll have a log of what I’ve read. I may go back and add simple “X out of 5” ratings in at some point.
Greg the Bunny Returns Again!
Thanks to Kara for letting me know that Greg the Bunny is returning to IFC! Whoo hoo!
Reading It
I finally started reading through the print out of the book. I hope to get through two chapters a day, but family and work are keeping me pretty busy. It’s interesting to see hints of threads that I completely forgot about. Someone else reading it may miss them, but now I have to decide weather to expand them back in, or remove them completely.

The First Draft
Things are still pretty busy here, but I did find the time to print out my first draft. It’s an interesting feeling holding the book in my hands. For one thing it weighs a lot more that I would have thought.
WordPress: Hiding the comment link without disabling pings
I saw this question over on Holly Lisle’s weblog, and thought I’d try to help. After a number of posts eaten by the comment gnomes, I think I’ve found the answer.
Since this might be useful to someone else, I’ve decided to post it here.
