NaNoWriMo 2006
Sorry about the lack of updates. If you’ve been wondering where I am, you haven’t been paying attention. I’ve been participating in NaNoWriMo, meaning I have until the end of the month to complete 50,000 words of a novel. I doubt I’ll be updating much during that time because if I have time to post then I should be working on the novel. Things should return to normal once I’m finished.

Just a bit over 1,000 a day. Do you see your novel going much over 50k?

I think this draft won’t be much beyond 50k, but I have a lot of notes I wrote as I went along saying things like foreshadow this back in chapter two and improve this description. Writing these as I went allowed me to continue with my forward momentum without feeling that I needed to fix things now. The downside is I’ll have a lot of work left to do after the first draft, but I’ll have a first draft in a short ammount of time while I’m still filled with passion to tell the story. I’m hoping that pays off (but not allowing myself to think about it anymore).
